My passion is the intersection of physiology and philosophy. I always knew that I would become a doctor, but after becoming discouraged by the conventional medical model after working in the ER and small rural clinics in Minnesota - I realized that my approach to medicine has always been within naturopathic medicine. After the first semester in the ND program at Bastyr University in Seattle, I was hooked on the model "Restoration of Health" (see below). After completing my four years, I completed a first year residence at Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, WA. I have completed my second year residency in San Diego, CA and am seeing patients virtually in WA and CA states, and providing education outside of those states.
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct system of primary health care that combines modern medical science with traditional, natural, and holistic approaches to healing. The goal is to identify and treat the root cause of illness rather than just suppressing symptoms, while supporting the body’s innate ability to heal itself
The Therapeutic Order
The Therapeutic Order is a framework that guides naturopathic doctors in how we approach healing — from the least invasive to the most intensive interventions. It reflects the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal, and our role is to support, not override, that process.
